New updates and improvements

June 30, 2025

2025 Q2

We are launching a new podcast, ‘Research Log’, opening pre-orders for trend reports, and providing faster and deeper design insights through system and data structure reorganization and improved image loading speed.

If you follow us on Instagram or subscribe to our newsletter, you’ve already seen a lot of updates this quarter. But there’s even more happening behind the scenes that we haven’t talked about—until now:

  • Podcast launch: We’ve started a podcast called ‘Research Log’, a treasure trove of stories about how creators work, grow, and overcome challenges. You can listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or straight from our site. Perfect for your commute, a drive, a walk, or while doing chores.

  • Trend Report pre-orders: Our Trend Report is a design-research kit that bundles real-project keywords, materials, and brand insights so you can generate evidence-backed ideas instantly. It tackles the exact pain points visitors have mentioned to us. We’re offering a special launch deal, and (because demand was high) we built a separate checkout page just for it.

  • System overhaul: We replaced our entire data structure and architecture—think tearing out the foundation of an old house and rebuilding it in reinforced concrete. It was our biggest “invisible construction” yet, but it means we can ship features and syncs data far faster (and safer) from here on out.

  • Data restructuring: Sample details that used to be just plain text are now broken into richer, more granular fields. You can already see this on sample detail pages and in search results. It’s the groundwork for our next major release.

  • Faster image loading: Some users reported slow image loads, so we optimized our servers. Performance is already smoother and will keep improving.

We also squashed a bunch of other bugs—big and small. Enjoy the rest of June, and see you in July!

Price and lead time filter

Conc’s new price and delivery date filters revolutionize material research for designers working on tight-budget client projects. Easily adjust pricing across diverse units and compare delivery timelines to stay on schedule and optimize every project detail.

Imagine you’re a designer working on a client project. The project has a fixed overall budget, and you want to achieve the best results possible within that budget. But the time available for material research is tight. That’s exactly why the price and delivery date filters were created.

You simply select the category of the material you’re searching for, and if necessary, narrow it down further by characteristics like usage or form. Then, you can gauge what’s possible within your project’s time frame and budget. Like it or not, time and budget are the proverbial elephants in the room for any project. Sometimes you can adjust them, but most often they’re factors beyond your control. Conc wanted to provide you with two additional tools to help in such situations.

Materials are priced on a per-unit basis—think “X won per meter” or similar. Conc’s price filter was designed with these aspects in mind. You choose the base unit, and then you can easily adjust the price range with a slider!

  • Even within the same material group, wasn’t it hard to cross-check because each supplier uses different units?

  • What if your project measurements are in meters, but the material is sold in yards?

  • What about those ‘Korean’ units like 본, 자평, 평, 헤베, 재 that are commonly used in the industry?

  • And what if the pricing isn’t per one unit but, say, per 20m² or per 100kg?

Yes! Yes! Yes! Conc’s price filter is designed to handle all of these situations. Whether it’s length, area, mass, or volume, you can compare them using the same physical quantity. For example, even if material A is priced at ₩63,500 per 100m², you can compare it side by side with material B, which might be priced at ₩300,000 per 평. And when you add the delivery date into the mix? You’re tackling both time and budget.

We’re thrilled to introduce these features. ❤️ Please note, however, that since this is a beta version, some materials might not have their price or delivery dates specified, or the data might not be entirely accurate due to economic fluctuations. We plan to update the information according to 2025 standards on Conc soon, so for now, please use this as a reference. Tip: Set a wider range than the exact price you’re looking for.

The price and delivery date filters are just the beginning—they will pave the way for various new features in upcoming Conc releases. We already envision ways to further improve these filters. But before that, we want to give you a chance to try them out as soon as possible. Try them and let us know what you think.
